The Experience
How I approach your wedding day
It’s all about you.
I favour candid shots over posed shots, so my goal is to get you to relax and be yourself. Easier said than done, I know. But trust me, I know what I’m doing.
I’m quite loopy and silly, so you can expect me to ask you to do some crazy things. As you focus on doing something like picking up your partner, twirling around in circles or giving a piggyback ride, you may just forget there’s a camera on you and just enjoy being close to your partner.
I want you to give yourself over to feeling all the emotions that are a part of marrying the person of your dreams.
My focus is to capture moments that are brimming with emotion and honesty… moments that are fun, adventurous and of course wildly romantic. For one couple it may be a soft kiss on the cheek, for another it might be one chasing the other down the road… it’s all about finding that connection between two people that just shouts out, “I am yours, and you are mine”.
I am led by the landscape, scoping out the scenery and surroundings to find the perfect spots for breathtaking backdrops. I have a thing for gorgeous sunsets and using natural light for different effects.
What fascinates me about weddings
I love how people come together at a wedding to celebrate two people finding one another. Every time I shoot a wedding, I get to join in with the celebration… what could be more wonderful than that?
I enjoy meeting the families, from the oldest to the youngest, and count it a privilege to be a part of such a significant day for the bride and groom.
Everyone works together and puts in such a massive effort to make sure that the day is amazing in every way.
Why I enjoy shooting weddings
I love to meet new people!
It gives me immense satisfaction when I can draw out the best in people as I capture them with my lens. My ultimate goal is to make you feel so comfortable and relaxed that you can truly be your authentic self… just you as you are when no one is looking. If you forget that I’m there and just enjoy the experience, the result is something magical… both for you and for me.
